First Subject: Eli
For my first subject, I went downtown to get as many different shots of Eli as I could. These are the final three.

I chose this shot for its unique composition and symmetry. I made it black and white and gave it a little more contrast to enhance the darker colors and set the mood.

I chose this shot for its harsh lighting and shadows. I made this black and white and made the lighting more dramatic. In addition, the light above Eli and the cement walls gave the photo even more character.

I selected this photograph because of its subtle color, small details, and the story it portrays. This photo has almost no editing because I like the natural lighting and color.

Second Subject: The Yellow Tree
When I was searching for a second subject, this bright yellow tree caught my eye. Most of the trees have only started to change colors, which made this tree stand out even more. Here are the final three.

| Up In The Trees |
I chose this photograph for its unique angle and the contrast of the bright yellow against the grey sky. I gave the photo more warmth to emphasis the color, but didn't over-saturating it. I cropped a little off the lower half to draw attention to the canopy, rather than the tree trunk.

| Fall's Colors |
I selected this shot because of the detail shown in the leaf- the lines, color changes, and shape. I gave this photograph a little more warmth and saturation to highlight the yellow, red, and orange colors.

| The Last Ones |
I chose this photograph for its contrast between the last green leaves and the yellow tree. I gave this photo a fade effect to create smooth lighting. In addition, I like the mix of colors- the green leaves, red stem, and yellow leaves in the background.
